Snapshot of Spirit Lake And Mt St Helens

Mt St Helens and Spirit Lake, Seattle, Washington
I was standing on the ledge of the Mt. St. Helens NSGS Observatory just outside of Seattle, Washington.  We had just arrived and my two brothers and I ran out of the van and up to the rail then my mom and dad got out and came up to join us.  My godfather and godmother were with us.  They live in Anacortes, Washington it is a small island town about thirty minutes form Seattle.  There are many people who visit Mt. St. Helens every year.  Some geologists and others tourists.  Though on the day we went to see this natural wonder the touring walk ways were as empty as the streets on the coldest winter days.

Mt. St. Helens and Spirit Lake from a distant view.
This was one of the most spectacular days of my life. I was always interested in volcanoes growing up and I finally got to see one from about a mile away.  On the same trip, we went on my god father's boat and we saw a second volcao within two days of the trip to Mt. St. Helens.  The new volcano was called Mt. Rainier.

Of Mice an Men

I feel bad for Lennie since he kills almost whatever he touches.  So I would really pity him if I was around in the book.  I was really sad when he killed his puppy that Slim gave him.  I was also sad whenever it said that he killed all of the mice that his Ant Claira gave him when he was younger.  I don't like Lennie killing Curley's wife by snapping her neck.  Even though she deserved it, I felt bad for him because he doesn't kno his own strength.  He killed her because he was mad at himself for killing his puppy.  Then I hated George killing Lennie.  He killed Lennie because he wouldn't be able to survive in jail. George just turned around and said something to the effect of no you can't tend the rabbits anymore.  Then he just shoots Lennie once or twice then Lennie falls over dead.  So in the end Lennie is powerless in thinking he will get to tend to the rabbits.

I have felt powerless a few times.  It was when all of the choices I had couldn't really help.  One of my choices was to dive into my pool after my brother and try to pull him up when he had all of his clothes on.  The other was to stand and watch him sink to the bottom.  I chose to dive in and almost got him up, but my leg cramped and I let go to put less strain on my leg.  Then my older brother jumped in and brought him up to the surface and got him out of our pool.  He was sopping wet when he got out.  He got a towel and dried off.  Then he went inside and changed intoo swimming trunks.

Prompt Blog

I think that a perfect world would be a world without crime or terrorism.  I also think that it shouldn't have any natural disaster at all. I would still think that a natural eruption of a volcano.  There could also be tropical storms but they wouldn't be nearly as devastating as they are today. There would be annual monsoons throughout the world becuase in many countries they are needed to provide water ant the right crop growing conditions.  This is the basis of the perfect world in my opinion.

Everyone would also get their choice of an iPad or the latsest Android tablet.  Then the world would have the same assets as far a technology goes.  The school systems would also have iPads for all of their students.  The school would have 2 wifi routers for each wing in the building one for teachers and a second for students.  Administrators would be on a different network than the teachers and students.  Then the school systems wouldn't have to worry about buying books for students anymore.

The army would also have iPads or Android tablets for all officers in the army.  The officers would have specially produced iPads or Tablets with combat standard protection so the could use it as a bullet-proof sheild.  They could deflect a .50 caliber round and it would barely leave a dent.  So the memory of the tablet would still be intact.  Then if they were making a speech and they heard a gunshot the could throw it up in front of them and they wouldn't die from the bullet.
